Based on our conducted interview of one of the handlers of the bandarayhak of Samar National School, Cristel Macalde.

The Samariñans Bandarayhak showcased their musical and dancing prowess when they won first place in the 2024 Banda Rayhak this October 20, in Leyte, Palo. At the same time, they were also awarded as "Best in Majorette" and "Best Baton Section." With the help of the school, the students performed successfully by striving to become a quality marching band. Besides the honor of the school, it also served as an inspiration to the marching band members to continue their musical and marching skills.

The Bandarayhak at Samar National School in Catbalogan represents a unique blend of cultural heritage and educational development. This initiative plays a vital role in fostering community spirit and promoting the rich traditions of the region while providing students with invaluable learning experiences.

Events organized under the Bandarayhak banner often showcase local talent and culture. Cultural showcases, festivals, and themed events allow students to express their creativity while celebrating their heritage. Competitions and collaborative projects further encourage teamwork, providing a platform for students to demonstrate their skills and learn from one another.

In conclusion, the Bandarayhak of Samar National School in Catbalogan stands as a testament to the power of integrating cultural heritage with education. By promoting community involvement, offering practical learning experiences, and celebrating local traditions, the Bandarayhak not only enriches the lives of students but also strengthens the fabric of the community. It serves as a vital reminder of the importance of preserving cultural identity while equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.
